My first Thanksgiving... Well, I didn't eat anything because I was sick! I had an ear infection and pink eye in both eyes. Bummer! Lucky for me we are doing it all again on Saturday with Grandma Kelly and Papa.

Halloween Turtle
I am 9 1/2 months now. I weigh 21 1/2 lbs. and I am 30 1/2" long. So much has happened in the last few months I hope I can remember to tell it all. I started crawling at 8 1/2 months. I loved crawling for the couple of weeks that I did it but now I just want to pull myself up and walk around the furniture and I love being independent. I got my first tooth on my 9 month birthday, it was one of my bottom front ones. I moved up to pod C at school and my new teachers are Jennifer, Nina and Joanie. I started feeding myself and eating all kinds of table food. I love cheerios, gerber puffs, frozen strawberries etc. I am not a picky eater at all, I will pretty much eat anything now that I am getting used to the texture. I got my first "ouch report" at school this month. One of the kids wanted the toy I was playing with so he scratched me on the face and took it. The teacher had to send home a report to my mom and dad. I hope that kid gets one too and I hope he gets in trouble. I started getting mad when my mom takes stuff away from me and sometimes when I am really mad I hit her in the face. That doesn't seem to be going well and I don't recommend it. I love Savannah (my dog) and I am having so much fun with my mom and dad. They took me to my first Octoberfest with my Grandma D and Grandpa John. We have been very busy so I have some fun videos and pictures to show you this month.

Sleeping on my belly now.
I am 8 months old now. I weigh 21lbs 3oz. I am trying to crawl but I am unsuccessful and frustrated every time. I love climbing all over my mommy and daddy, they are my personal jungle gyms. Swimming lessons are great, I can float on my back and my mom can drag me all over the pool. I always start talking as soon as I start floating on my back. I can stand all by myself on the step in the water. I can also hold my breath and go under water from mommy to my teacher. I love swim lessons. I hate trying to crawl. I really hate the chunky food my mom keeps trying to feed me. I don't think I will ever eat big boy food. My daddy lowered my crib since I keep trying to pull myself up on the side. This month I finally started rolling over to sleep on my belly every night. Lots of changes going on this month, I will let you know how I feel bout the crawling thing next month.

Grandpa John's Birthday Party
We spent the day and Grandma D and Grandpa John's house for grandpa's birthday. I got him a kids cookbook so that we can cook together (when I get bigger of course). I watched everyone play Nintendo Wii all day. They looked so silly they made me laugh.

Camping Trip Labor Day 2008
This was my first camping trip with my mom, dad, my dogs (grady and savannah), Grandma D and Grandpa John, PaPa, Grandma Kelly, and Dylan. It was fun to be outside for 4 days. I slept in the tent with my mom and dad the first night but I woke up in the middle of the night and freaked out because I was cold, so I got to sleep in my grandma and grandpa lester's camper the rest of the weekend! (Nice work on my part if I do say so myself). I was to little to do some of the stuff that you do while camping like play horse shoes, shoot guns, and ride quads. I watched my mom shoot a gun and ride a quad for the first time. She looked good in her new pink and black helmet. She is so cool. I did get to ride in the buggy with Papa and Daddy, I was talking so loud my mommy could hear me from across the woods, I loved it. It appears from my upcoming pictures that all we do while we camp is sit around and drink, let me make it clear we nap and eat also! I sat by my first campfire and I love staring at the flames. It was a good time had by all.

Cabin weekend 2008
We went to Joy and Patrick's Cabin last weekend. We had lots of fun, I saw my first squirrel and chipmunk. Patrick's mom babysat me while everyone else played golf. That night we all watched Olympic history when Michael Phelps won his last event and now holds the record for the most gold medals won in a single Olympics (8). I love Joy...she makes me laugh every time she does football poses. She also makes very sweet nectar for the hummingbirds, they were everywhere. My dad used his new back pack that I ride in and it is a blast. Everyone got to ride my quad (the Zinger) except for me. I had a very good time on my first road trip. Next weekend... my first camping trip. GOOD TIMES!

Relaxing with a good book.
My favorite thing now is to have mommy and daddy read me books. I love it. I had a lot of firsts the last few weeks as you can see in the following pictures. I also have a new car seat now that I am bigger. I weigh 20lbs 6 oz! Mommy doesn't understand why she isn't in better shape since she has to carry me everywhere. I don't crawl yet but I go from sitting to my belly and knees. I scoot backwards which really makes me mad since I can never get to the things I am going for (like the remote or the phone). I can roll over if I absolutely have to but I hate it and I avoid it if at all possible.

How to tell when your child is chocking.
Keegan is actually chocking on a big chunk of cookie in this video. We officially won the parents of the year award after this one. HA HA! No worries he made it out of this one alive.
