Keegan 2 weeks old
Keegan is 2 weeks old tomorrow! What a great first 2 weeks. He is so cool. I don't know what we did to deserve such a good baby. I guess everyone was right when they said it all comes naturally once you have the baby. Anyway, we have kept him alive and healthy for 2 weeks and that is a record for us haha! We had lots of company visiting Keegan this week! Enjoy some pictures from week 2 of friends and family.

Keegan's first week
Well we did it! Finally gave birth to Keegan Osbourne Oglesby. January 7, 2008; 12:14 pm; 6lbs 13oz; 20.5" long. My name Keegan means "Fiery Little Man" and Osbourne means "A Bear of God". He is a tiny little guy. No complaints about his size coming from mom that is for sure. Who would have thought that after 2 months of bed rest I would have been in labor for 21 hours. Murphy's Law I guess. Don't let me mislead anyone though...21 hours in labor with an epidural is nothing like the stories I have heard or anything that I anticipated. You would never know how much labor and delivery is hyped up until you go through it yourself. It is not a day at the spa but not hellish either. I decided to create this blog for our family so that with every one's busy schedule we could make sure no one missed out on what is going on in Keegan's day to day life. Taylor and I had so much fun that first week while Taylor was off work. We did everything together, got up in the middle of the night to change diapers (and yes sometimes it does take 2 blonds to change a little diaper), fed him, burped him, stared at him etc. The week went so fast! We were both bummed when Taylor had to go back to work. Here are some pictures of Keegan's first week at home with his crazy mom and dad.

A Letter From Mommy
Dear Keegan,
Welcome to existence! I now know what love is. You are a blessing to me and I hope I can live up to the love I feel for you. I hope I can teach you to make the most of your time during your life. I dare you to move…. I dare you to move in “your” direction all through life. I dare you to live it to the fullest. I dare you to try your best at everything you do. I dare you to fail and learn from it. I dare you to be brave. I dare you to be confident. I dare you to be positive even when things don’t seem like they will ever be better. I dare you to cry when you are sad, laugh when you are happy, scream when you are mad, and tell the world when you are proud. I dare you to be intimate with others. I dare you to really learn to listen to others and have compassion for them. I dare you to have faith and believe in something bigger than yourself. I dare you to take responsibility for your life, your actions, and your happiness. I dare you to be selfless without sacrificing yourself. I dare you to really find your “self” and to trust yourself and believe in yourself. I dare you to laugh every day and find humor in life. I dare you to move. I dare you to be brave and move through life with grace and faith. You are not alone. You will never be alone. When you fall I will be there believing that you can get up. When you fail I will be there believing that you will learn, and laugh from it. When you succeed I will be there celebrating your success. When you love I will be at peace watching you enjoy it. When you express yourself I will be there listening unconditionally. You are awesome; don’t deny the world of your best. You are special to me, I made you from scratch! Now go out into the world and show others why you are so special. You are not alone, be brave! I dare you!
Love Mommy!
